Here in LA
Well, here we are. Pacific Palisades, California. It is incrediby beautiful here. One whole wall of our house is completely made of windows, and I can see the Pacific Ocean and beautiful mountains when I look out. There is an ocean breeze blowing at all times, and during the day it is about 70 degrees with sunny skies. And yet...I miss my home terribly.
Soon the leaves will be changing colors at home. At night, if I were there, I'd be able to smell one of my favorite smells in all the world...the chimney smoke from a fireplace fire. We would go with friends to Milburn Orchards...get apple cider donuts and pumpkins...(sigh.)
I miss my house. I miss the stone and the wood and the way it smelled. I miss my piano. I haven't played since I moved. It's been two and a half weeks. I would love to play my piano again.
I'm going to post this now...will hopefully have time to write later....who knows...
