Everything May Change
In a few days I will know whether or not I am moving to Los Angeles.
I have lived here in Delaware (well, now I am about 100 yards into the state of Maryland) since I was five years old. I would love to say that I am the kind of gal who loves change and new things and is ready to pick up and have an adventure at the drop of a hat. Alas, that is not me.
Transition is unbelievably difficult for me, and it always has been. I like things to change, but I don't like the process of saying goodbye to the old and getting adjusted to the new. I'd rather just be settled into the new, not having the pain of goodbye. Ugh.
My husband, Jason, is a genius, really. He is brilliant at so many things. I don't usually brag about him, but he is just simply amazing. And he has applied to the UCLA screenwriting masters program. I want him to get in so badly, because he is so happy when he is in school and doing something creative. When he is in school, his eyes are always lit up with life, and it is just wonderful to see him so inspired. He creates beautiful things. I believe in him completely.
Nine hundred people applied and only 24 will get in. He had an interview two Saturdays ago, and not many people got called for an interview... I am on pins and needles, waiting to find out.
So truly, I am hoping that he will get in. This is his dream. How incredible is it to witness someone's dream coming true? Especially the person you love most of all? And because of this, we may be moving to California...
This consumes my thoughts day and night... I just want to know...are we going or NOT?

Yes, it's big change, but I think it will be amazing. I really believe he's going to be accepted. Can't wait to see movies written by him. How cool would that be?! Your love and support for Jason is an inspiration.

do you think WHEN he starts making movies, he'll still let me have the best roles(Jesus and scared guy 2)? I'd be fine with supporting roles though. Let Jason know, I'd like to work Tom Hanks, first.

it really is so amazing for jase--and you guys will have a beautiful time in LA. How cool that you already stayed there for a summer and felt so peaceful--God has been planning for this for a long time. We'll miss you so much--but no matter where you are, you are in our hearts. That is what I had to remember while on tour...And it's true. What a cool adventure...
