Another Song
Here are the lyrics to another song I recently wrote. I will record the music soon and put it up as soon as I can. . .
Please Be OK
today when i looked at you you looked so much like me
i swore i saw my own reflection and i had to choke back tears
paralyzed with fear that you'll move in the same direction
i don't want to see myself in you
don't get my disease
the demons that have me, don't let them have you, too
i fight so hard to keep them from you
oh God I can't fall now
oh baby, please be ok
i never wanted you to know this pain
oh baby please be ok
i'd give all that i have to make sure you don't end up this way
today you looked into my eyes searching for a sign
pleading for some affirmation
i tried the very best i could to weave you something good
that i had finally found salvation
but you know me all too well, i saw that you could tell
i'm still under this spell and have not yet broken free
please don't follow in my footsteps
please find a better way

New Music
There are two new songs under the "music" category of this site...you will need headphones to hear them because the quality is really bad. I just hit "record" on my mp3 recorder, so it's rough....
I Wish You Could Love
After all of this time I still feel the same
My heart still skips a beat when you call my name
And I couldn’t love you more than I do
I’ve been so in love since the moment I saw you
I’ve watched every step that you’ve dared to take
I know you’re so aware of every mistake
But your beautiful spirit is all that I see
And who knows you better baby than me
I wish you could love you like I do
Sometimes when you’re asleep I touch your face
I am so overcome by beauty and grace
You’re just as broken as you can be
But you are so perfect for me
I wish you could love you like I do
Lament for the Little Girl
Hey there tiny one first light burns your eyes
Soon enough they will be here
I don’t have much time
Don’t believe their whispers
Their poisoned lullabyes
Rendering your soul silent
As they sing every night, “don’t you cry”
I stand by your cradle and beg you
Cry all you can
For just this moment you still know the truth
You still understand
This is your chance
You didn’t ask to be here
Here you are just the same
From this moment on they will mold you into a
Beautiful pawn for the game
Deep inside you’ll feel it
It’s not meant to be this way
Years from now may you remember
The truth that you mourned here today
I stand by your cradle and beg you
Cry all you can
for just this moment you still know the truth
You still understand
This is your chance
Your chance to grieve
You must not believe what they will teach you
Your chance to fight small as you might be
Your chance to cry for the voice that may die
As the years take you
Your chance to break free

A LIttle Entry
Hello everyone....this is a quick little update in case anyone still checks this blog.
Last weekend I played the piano in Richmond at a bar...and I can't remember the name. Empire? I think so. Anyway, I have been playing the piano on some songs written by Nathan Gray. For the show, he sang and another guy named Rob played guitar. I was completely nervous to do it, but once I got there, I had an amazing time. I love this music that Nathan wrote and so it's really fun to play on. A bunch of Nathan's fans from boysetsfire were there, so they were really enthusiastic from the start. I read on the boysetsfire website that he plans to put the show up on the internet sometime soon (it was recorded) ...once I find out where to see it, i will post that info here.
In other news, I have been writing a ton of new music. Two songs will soon be posted here. A warning: they are terrible recordings, just on a little mp3 recorder next to my piano. So you will need headphones to hear the music at all. I will also post the lyrics so you can understand what the f@#! i am talking about.
I will also soon be posting more in the upcoming days because I have quite a few things in mind that I would like to say here.
Goodnight....
